This is an ad for Abercrombie & Fitch. In any case, it just struck me as hilarious. If this is as far as some ad-creators imagination goes so as to depict the adjective of fierce, she, or he is in the wrong profession.
I personally am not a big fan of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's writing skills. his characters are marvellous, his stories, superb. Past that, he's at best a good writer. That said, I'd never thought that anything could make his sayings look plastic and amateurish; never till now.
Even olde english can carry a bad thing only so far!
